DCI Objectives provides extensive services in helping our clients understand and implement Process Management.

We assist management groups in defining methodologies that reduce the process breakdowns that lead to internal workflow problems, and ultimately to customer dissatisfaction

To do this, we take organizations through the following steps:

Four Steps of a Process Management System

These basic steps help to establish a solid Process Management initiative.

  1. Define and Document what the organization is currently really doing. This is critical because if information is not accurate or current methods are not detailed then they can not be properly assessed in order to resolve the real causes of the problems.

  2. Determine how the processes are linked to each other and who is responsible for each process. Every organization must define its leaders and doers.

  3. Coach Management to provide internal direction and leadership for both the business and the employees. Managers must take responsibility and guide the system.

  4. Assist Managers to use the information from this system and determine where changes and improvements are needed. This is very important: Management must take action.

When these steps are implemented, a solid process management initiative exists which emphasizes that:
  • The company documents what it is doing
  • Provides the proper controls for the systems
  • Assigns accountability to its Managers
  • Places greater emphasis on the improvement in how business is conducted

This helps the organization provide its customers with the best product, service and overall support possible.

From this initiative, many effective organizations can then take their processes one step further and have what is called Linked processes which provide for greater competitiveness, innovation and profitability.
